Wify was supposed to start a new job in the 2nd week of April. I got a gig the week the lockdown commenced, I was meant to submit budget and full proposal the week after. A project meeting was set up for the week after.
I had a (contract) job running that was just 2weeks old, it was paused immediately. Not to talk of a number of expectations and opportunities ahead….all halted by the Lockdown – better put by COVID-19.
These were my thoughts minutes ago and an old song dropped in my heart:
🎼🎼Awon alaye eniyan ni yi o ma yin o
Awon alaye eniyan ni yi o ma yin o
Baba modupe pe mo je okan ninu won
Awa alaye eniyan ni yi o ma yin o 🎶🎶
I was able to complain because I am not on a ventilator… Ten thousand (10,000) reasons to be thankful!
Cheer up…this too shall pass!

Translation of the song (originally in Yoruba)
It is the living that can praise you
It is the living that can praise you
Father I am grateful because I am part of the living
We the living will praise you
